Cutie, here I thought this year was gonna be better for me with medical expenses, but lo and behold, I am currently on Humira, which is $1,000 per shot, and I have to pay 20%, which is NOT counted towards my deductible or maximum out of pocket. The first month alone I had to take 8 shots. My share is $6,000 per year. Plus my $1,000 deductible, plus my $2,000 out of pocket, plus all my prescription and office visit co-pays. Oh, and did I mention insurance premiums??
I can't afford to stay alive, it seems!

Ah, I could some TLC! Been a rough month for me. Hopefully it will get better. I did go out to dinner last nite with some friends and had a nice glass of wine. It was nice to get out and about and see people.

Cutie, I have always admired your strength and courage and the way you have fought back from your struggles.
On that note, I would like to say that even though some other countries have free or cheaper health care than the USA, at least I am secure in the knowledge that if something bad happens to me I will be treated immediately, whether I have insurance or not. Our health care system is troubling, as the costs have escalated something fierce, but at least we don't have to wait for weeks or months to be treated. I just did my income taxes for last year, and discovered that I personally spent over 4 thousand dollars on health care out of my pocket, even with insurance coverage, due to my pre-existing condition of Crohn's. However I expect that total to drop significantly this year as I will be covered for that now, and will not have to spend more than 2 thousand dollars out of pocket. I just consider health care to be a regular expense, like my mortgage and car payment, and budget accordingly.
It's a sad situation when people either can't afford health insurance, or have to wait for socialized services.

B/S would know better than I about recovery time for heart attacks. I do agree that it would be ill-advised for someone so stricken to d osomething that aggravates the condition.

Troll Patrol : has anyone noticed the great american slang style a certain foreign newcomer has ? Ive met dozens of highly educated people from that part of the world...my ex husband formed a computer start up with 12. Not a single person I have met speaks or writes like that. When things dont add up, there usually IS a reason.

theyve been a busy little duo..and such fast recoverys too. But then again,,,one doesnt need recovery from fantasy operations or fabricated heart attacks.
The male certainly learned "overnight" how to write in correct english. That blog was removed though, so if ya'all missed it..it was truly an amazing feat.Makes me wonder just how that was possible. Oh well.
